CS2 improvement plan

30 days. One task per day. Actual progress.

A structured plan for someone trying to climb CS2 ranks without endless ladder grinding. Each day is one focused task — aim warm-up, learn 5 smokes, watch a demo, take a quiz. Cross-linked to the right utility so you have a concrete place to do the work.

  1. Day 01Aim
    20 min

    Baseline aim warm-up

15 min in aim_botz with HS-only, then take the Aim Puzzle to record a baseline score. Don't worry about your number — you're measuring start point.

  2. Day 02Game-sense
    12 min

    Take the CS2 IQ Test

Score yourself against the 75-question bank. Note which categories you missed — Maps? Utility? Economy? — those are the gaps to close in week 1.

  3. Day 03Utility
    15 min

    Mirage default smokes

    Learn 5 Mirage smokes: T-spawn → stairs, ramp → jungle, mid → window, apps → bench, T-spawn → CT. Practice each 5×.

  4. Day 04Aim
    20 min

    Recoil pattern day

Recoil_master for 15 min. Focus on AK and M4A4 — feel the T-shape spray pattern with mouse. Test yourself at the Spray Pattern ID game.

  5. Day 05Economy
    15 min

    CS2 economy basics

Read the Economy Simulator. Toggle round outcomes for a half — internalise loss bonus math. Pistol round + force-buy thresholds.

  6. Day 06Game-sense
    30 min

    Watch a pro demo

Pick any recent Major final on HLTV. Watch one half from a single player's POV. Note how often they reposition vs. hold a static angle.

  7. Day 07Recovery
    15 min

    Rest day — review

No queue. Re-take the IQ Test and Aim Puzzle to compare with day 1. Note the change.

  8. Day 08Utility
    15 min

    Inferno banana smokes

Banana coffins, banana car, banana CT-side. Each lineup 5× until automatic. Banana is the most-fought corridor in pro CS — master it.

  9. Day 09Aim
    15 min

    Long-range tap fire

Aim_redline. Stand still, single-tap headshots only. Goal: 30 in 5 min with > 80% accuracy.

  10. Day 10Game-sense
    8 min

    Guess the Callout

Five-round map IQ test. Tests whether you actually know callouts vs. just play maps.

  11. Day 11Utility
    15 min

    Dust 2 essentials

T-spawn → xbox smoke, long doors → cross smoke, lower tunnels → B flash. Three lineups, 10× each.

  12. Day 12Aim
    15 min

    Spray transfers

    training_aim_csgo2 for spray-transfer drills. Spray bot 1, drag onto bot 2. Goal: 50% multi-kills.

  13. Day 13Game-sense
    10 min

    Clutch quiz

Five tactical 1vN scenarios. Read the situation, pick the move, see the explanation. Note which you got wrong.

  14. Day 14Recovery
    30 min

    Rest day — full retake

Do all five daily challenges in one sitting. Track your streak.

  15. Day 15Utility
    15 min

    Nuke vertical play

Outside → secret smoke, vents flash, ramp molly. Nuke is the only vertical map — utility timing matters more here.

  16. Day 16Aim
    10 min

    AWP flick day

aim_botz with AWP. Walking bots, mid-range. Goal: 25 hits in 3 min.

  17. Day 17Game-sense
    20 min

    Personality test + role match

Take the Personality Test. Find 3 pros who play your role. Watch one of their POV demos.

  18. Day 18Economy
    15 min

    Damage calculator deep-dive

Pick a weapon + body part + range. Memorize hits-to-kill at each range band. Crucial for trade-fragging math.

  19. Day 19Utility
    20 min

    Ancient + Anubis basics

Two newer maps that get less practice time. Learn 3 smokes per map.

  20. Day 20Aim
    10 min

    Defuse drill — rhythm

CS2's timing isn't aim, but rhythm IS skill. Hit the 5s, 10s, 40s timing drill. Score 350+.

  21. Day 21Recovery
    20 min

    Rest day — review

Compare your Aim Puzzle / IQ Test scores with day 1 + day 7 baselines. Set a goal for the final week.

  22. Day 22Game-sense
    8 min

    Map ID

Guess the Pro game — five rounds with rising difficulty. Studies CS2 esports peripherally.

  23. Day 23Utility
    15 min

    Overpass + Vertigo

Overpass monster smoke + Vertigo ramp setup. Two execute lineups each.

  24. Day 24Aim
    20 min

    Prefire spots

prefire_dust2 + prefire_mirage. Run as T-side at default speeds, pre-aim every common angle.

  25. Day 25Game-sense
    10 min

    Premier rank assessment

Read the Premier rank explainer. Honestly assess where you are vs. where you want to go in 6 months.

  26. Day 26Utility
    15 min

    Train + Mirage refresh

Re-do the Mirage default smokes from day 3. By now they should be muscle memory. Plus 2 Train lineups.

  27. Day 27Aim
    35 min

    Pure aim day

20 minutes aim_botz, 10 minutes long-range tap, 5 minutes spray transfers. Cumulative aim test.

  28. Day 28Recovery
    5 min

    Rest day

No queue. Read the cheat sheet — you should now know 80% of it cold.

  29. Day 29Game-sense
    15 min

Final day — clutch + IQ

Re-take the Clutch Quiz and IQ Test. Compare with your earlier scores. The gap is the proof.

  30. Day 30Aim
    5 min

    Re-baseline

Aim Puzzle one more time. The score difference between day 1 and day 30 is your improvement. Now keep playing.

How to use this roadmap: do one task per day. Don\'t skip ahead. The pacing matters — mechanical skill needs reps spaced over time, not crammed. On day 7 / 14 / 21 / 28, take the day off competitive and measure progress against your day-1 baselines on /me/. The visible delta is the motivator.
